Gah! Margaretttt now the song is REALLY stuck in my head!! It’s raping my amygdala. In fact, there’s a little version of you and Grant Lee Phillips having a BDSM orgy with my unwilling cerebellum. Angelina Jolie would kill to be in my head right now with what you guys are doing with it. Damn you! I take all the earlier compliments back. Yes, there IS such a thing as too much talent.

I would close with a predictable comment like “Eat Shit and Die” but how about… “Eat Michael Jackson’s last used condom and die”?

First, I LOVE you!!! Your spirit soars, and I feel it every time I see you, hear you, or read your words! As a poet, I can relate to your statement, “When I write a song…. I can do nothing else…” This is exactly how I feel about writing poetry!

life is the hard work of the poet/ and pain the training day/ for poetry speaks from the depth/ like a cough/ pushing itself out and filling the throat/ poems pour out like tears/ sometimes with tears/ anxious as the stiff ache of the poet/ with release comes peace and serenity/ the pain is evanescent/ like the tears it disappears/ and the poem is all that’s left to remember

I really loved this song! A few days ago I came out as gay to some of my best friends and it was the first time someone rejected me for that, I felt exactly like how you wrote, that same day I stumbled upon this song and thought: YES!! that’s right!
