I totally agree with you on this topic!!! I heard about the show when looking for things to watch on Netflix so I decided to give it a try. I was hooked right away and have watched the first three seasons very quickly!!!

Just got into it three weeks ago and I'm on the final episode of the fourth season right now.

I grew up in Santa Ana, CA as well as Orange, CA, so we had the vato locos and gang bangers as well as the bikers who hung out at Cooks Corner. I've lost a lot of friends and family to these lifestyles.

It's weird to see Hollywood getting so much of it right. I keep joking that this is the NoCal version of the Sopranos. I don't want to like it, but I do. Obsessively.

A Harley rider once told me it's not hard, you just have to look farther ahead. I guess the larger, heavier bike is slower to react to the rider.

Thank you for telling the WPODs' story. They remind me of Dylan's line- there's no success like failure, and failure's no success at all. They seem holy but fleeting. I wish we had a world where the leavers could stay.

This gave me a vivid idea of what it was like for you growing up in SF Sunset. It is still a faintly depressing, conservative, defensively lower middle class area. It is held by the curse of Land's End. There is something ominous and evil about Land's End. Part of it is the undertow at Ocean beach. The cliff house was haunted. I have always found something depressing about ocean beach and the whole sunset. Thanks for giving an idea of Sf in the seventies, long before I got here!
