Fantastic write up and photo! Love this line: "I am here to burn your eyes and ears with my presence and then I will give you candy." <3 If you don't mind, what jacket are you wearing in the photo? If its armored, I love it!
Oh and yes, "motorcyclists have lots of friends". Its an amazing benefit of riding that I never expected when I started six years ago. Its a tight community, and everyone wants to help.
So, I hope you've since gotten more comfortable on the bike, I'll need to check out your other blogs (found this one through WRN). Have fun, enjoy the ride!

That bike is pure class and I love what you're wearing- those plaid pants redolent of '60's London, Mods and Rockers, just like the bike. You have a very keen eye.

Later this year I may have for you a new-tech riding suit, padding under articulated segments of fiberglass or carbon fiber.

What an adorable bike!! I love the picture. You look adorable as well! I loved the detail in your post, it makes me want to get a vintage motorcycle. I loved the part about carrying chocolate bunnies and peeps with you, and roaring loudly and colorfully into people's lives, both blinding and deafening them, and then giving them candy.
I also learned how it is important to race a bike on an empty stomach, to avoid messy accidents.

Ah, you couldn't look more perfect on your new bike. Remember the suspension may not be as forgiving as your rebel. Safe travels,

Wow! That's what I have, but I have to restore it. Mine's actually the 150 version, the Benly, which is called the Baby Dream. Same year too.

You meet the nicest people on a Honda. Keep riding, keep learning, keep safe, keep your bike and gear well maintained, memorize your riding routes, every hill and divot, speedbump and stop sign. Look at the world tilted while carving a corner. Enjoy the smell of a warm engine and tires. Respect the traffic, but don't fear it, for your gear, your bike, your luscious body, and your brain will see you safely to your destination.
