Oh my god, the opportunity to ask one of my comedy idols a question!!!
Ohmygodohmygodohmygod. The pressure!
Should I ask something profound, like what’s the sound of one toe clapping, or something inane, like why is Gonzo obsessed with chickens?
This moment could define my whole future. If I ask a good question, you might take me under your wing and train me as your protege in this crazy world we call comedy. If I ask a bad question, you might scold me, tease me, or whip me. Though I can see the appeal in the last one.
You’re fabulous, Margaret. How did you get to be so fabulous?
Oh look, I asked a question! Finally!
And when you’re done answering that one, why IS Gonzo so damn obsessed with chickens??

yeah!!! why couldn’t you be at Brisbane too..
I would’ve starved if I could watch you on stage live..
Oh well, I guess I’ll just count the sheeps until the next tour..
Be healthy (with the jetlag, annoying British woman at the hotel, and the flight… are bound to give you some aches in many many places..)
and good luk with your tour!! (as if you need any luck!!!)

These questions are tame.
They should have been asked during the democratic debate…Yet I digress.
I would like to know more about your beautiful mind, although you illustrate so much of it in your writing and performance.
1)What are your favorite books and authors?
2) You love dogs so, would you like to see my puppies?
Dogs shots while you are on the road.

Hi Margaret,
I had the chance to meet you when you were MCing at the daily planet in Santa Rosa. Yes an eternity ago. You were cool then and you are cool now! Thanks and keep it up!

Hi Margaret,
I saw your Beautiful show in Sydney and loved it! I could gush forever about what the things you have stood up and said mean to me (especially in ‘I’m the One That I Want’), but for the sake of this Q & A I think I’ll just leave it at this: you’re a hero and you personify inner and outer beauty
You deserve all the love that you get from your audience because you give so much of it to us through your message of strength and self-esteem - and through just being yourself! In a world of artifice and banality we’re so glad you’re here to speak the truth, spread love and help us laugh in the face of hate and inequality Thanks Margaret - it means so much to anyone whose ever ‘been there’ (you know what I mean)
Questions…
What advice would you give aspiring comedians, writers, actors - hell, all creative people - who want to pursuit their dreams?
What is the best piece of advice that you’ve ever been given, and who gave it to you?
What is the most rewarding lesson you’ve ever had to learn?
Cheers and best of luck on the rest on your new tour and in the future :),
Amy
xoxo

Hey Margaret! It’s Loraine from the Ka Lamakua in Hawaii. Just wanted to thank you for the interview. Your publicity manager Ken was super helpful, and it was a pleasure working with him.
Your piece (with audio) is over here:

Hope you enjoy your stay in Hawaii. =D

I could ask any question, I suppose, but a silly one comes to mind. (Don’t you hate it when you’re trying to think of something serious but there’s some annoying or possibly inappropriate question that comes to mind instead? Kinda like mental tourette’s?) Let me get the annoying question out of the way:
Why is it when I trim my pubes (I’m a woman, by the way), I can’t pee straight down? It just goes EVERYWHERE! Do you have that problem too?
Also, will you be performing in Ohio anytime soon? I know, I know… it’s the Midwest where a bunch of conservative backward assholes reside. But I would love to see you on tour, visiting Ohio again (bring your friends, especially Ian, since I have a crush on him!)

I saw a restaurant called P.J Moran in Midtown NYC yesterday. I thought of you, The sensuous woman!!! I just love that show!!! and everyone in the show!
come back to NYC! live here… live with me!?
I am a great cook and I come with a really cute dog… Monk.
A year old shih tzu.. he will be one tomorrow!!

Please come to SW Ohio. Yes, it’s been covered above…conservative assholes and all, but some of us are open minded, love you and want to see you.
And my question…if you could be any animal, what would you want to be and why?
Thanks for your great comedy and your wonderful blog!!

hi Margaret, it’s me again and I forgot to let you know we have the weirdest Doberman male in the whole world, Hoku, his nickname is “Daddy” (said strangely.) We have all of his children as well. Nine of them. Would you like to have Hoku “daddy” as your next great material comedy dog? He loves to eat all day (veggies and everything) and he loves filtered water. He opens doors and loves to listen to nobody but himself. Let us know. love, kula crew

Beautiful, radiant, sexual, hilarious, h20 consuming Miss Margaret Cho
Girl, you’re a true blessing and an inspiration. My husband Marlin and I are coming to your show this month in Vancouver! We’re celebrating our 2nd anniversary. We’re totally excited.
Can you totally give a shout out to my lovely Marlin sometime that evening? That would freakin ROCK!
We adore you here in Canada!
Chris.

Will you please come to Ottawa PLEASE PLEASE or Montreal? You are so so loved. Ottawa, where I live, is currently trying to get an area downtown officially called The Gay Village. I think you should get a giant pair of scissors and cut the rainbow ribbon at that ceremony :D.
