Underbelly
Thursday, April 17th, 2008I just watched the amazing new documentary by Steve Balderson, “Underbelly,” all about my dear friend and frequent collaborator Princess Farhana. It is a wonderful film following our lovely princess through a busy year of her life teaching and performing all over the world. I am interviewed, as are many dance superstars from the world of bellydance and burlesque and there are lots of wonderful dance performances from all the different shows HRH has been featured in, including our fantastic run with “The Sensuous Woman” at the Zipper in NYC last fall. Princess Farhana is truly an inspiration to dancers and fans all over the world and it was so beautiful to see her incredible life documented in such a fascinating and elegant way. The dance sequences are beautiful as are all the costumes! It is a must see for any lover of the arts, dance and women loving themselves and living life to the fullest! All hail the princess!

Ryan Heffington
Thursday, January 17th, 2008It would be hard to find someone more beautiful than Ryan Heffington. He’s like one of those people that everyone agrees on. We may all be different, but we share a common bond. We all think Ryan is hot! He is a self-professed tranimal - which is a cross between a tranny and an animal - tranimal. Tranimals are rare and found in the cities and in the wild but rarely in the country. I love Ryan and he really made “The Sensuous Woman” experience special for me. My favorite thing was watching him dance every night as Dirty Diana. He had this move where he would make an ass house - like he lifted his butt up from the ground and it was like an ass teepee. That is where we all want to live. I love Ryan Heffington!!
Olu
Friday, January 11th, 2008Olu is gorgeous. She is one of my very favorite bellydancers. Her movements are silky and precise and her body is just beyond beautiful. She looks like an Algerian postcard from the 1920s, something to entice you to visit mysterious new lands. I love her!
Jo Boobs
Wednesday, December 19th, 2007Jo Boobs is beautiful. Here she is as her cheese eating diva Fanny Fromage. Look at that booty!! I am an ass man, and Jo has the finest onion…it will make you cry!! I love her because not only is she absolutely gorgeous, she is incredibly smart. She is a burlesque performer, teacher, historian, and photographer. She shows us our present while preserving our past. I love Jo Boobs!!
Simone de la Getto
Tuesday, December 18th, 2007Who is beautiful? You might remember Simone de la Getto from the Hunter video. She played Hunter’s ladyfriend with the incredible ass dance. She’s gorgeous and one of the members of the awesome burlesque troupe Harlem Shake. I don’t know if you can tell here, but she is very very tall, with legs for days and a smile that just knocks you out…
Princess Farhana
Monday, December 17th, 2007Princess Farhana is beautiful. Here she is in a gorgeous costume I gave her, from Egypt. Can you see, it has musical notes all over it! She is beautiful and I love her hair straight like that. One of the things that makes her so amazing is that she is the most alive person I know. She is always in touch and inside things and so enthusiastic about everything. She truly knows how to live and have a good time. She’s also remarkably good looking and in flawless shape from dancing every night…..beautiful beautiful beautiful Princess Farhana!!

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007Who’s beautiful? Tigger! The secret to his gorgeousness? Tigger said, “The best thing I ever did for my body was start SHOWING it…” Good for his body and good for us! Tigger is so beautiful and such a warm and wonderful guy. I love all his ginger hair and tiger stripes! He reminds me of a character out of a Jean Genet novel. Dangerous, beautiful, lithe and ferocious all at once…

Just a work of art, I really think Dirty Martini is the most beautiful woman in the world. She brings a tear to my eye. During the Sensuous Woman shows, I would speed my way through costume changes just so I could get a glimpse of her every night. She’s so creamy and lush. She’s got the kind of beauty rarely seen these days. She might have fit in better during the Italian Renaissance. Still, I am glad we have her now.

Monday, November 19th, 2007I just got home after two months of doing “The Sensuous Woman” and now, after what was a nonstop whirlwind of activity I am really not sure what to do with myself. I want to thank everyone in the show, especially our NY cast members who joined us near the end, Jo Boobs and Tigger, and of course the incredible Dirty Martini. I was really anxious about losing Kelly and Pleasant, but Jo and Tigger rocked it every night, and I could never get enough of Dirty!
Thanks to everyone who came out to see us in Chicago and New York. I had so much fun with you all and I learned so much.
Now I am going to work on my new standup show, “Beautiful”….I am so ready to get out there and do standup again! But I am not leaving “The Sensuous Woman” behind! Kelly and Ian Harvie will be joining me on my new tour! Exciting!!!!!
