As it has also been said in this election that actions and hard work speak louder than words. And I think what I posted is indicative of the way he is and his words are a different story. BO is so full of BS

Honestly, I believe all of the major Democratic candidates supported civil unions, but as far as gay marriage, no, or they punt to the States to decide.

These candidates must move to the middle of the road.
It won't be long until the big homo monster is let out of the closet for the general election.

Holy crap, I would love to have my picture taken with Gavin, especially if his arm was around me.

I am a news junkie. I watch a lot of C-span and have seen Obama give his stump speech all over this country. When talking about how we need to be united as a people he is the ONLY candidate I've ever heard say, "black and white, hispanic, asian, native american, gay and straight." Hey, it may not be much but the other candidates don't even do THIS much in their speeches.

"Why should we believe Obama has courage to bring about change? He wouldn’t have his picture taken with San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom when visiting San Francisco for a fundraiser in his honor because Obama was scared voters might think he supports gay marriage (Newsom acknowledged this to Reuters on January 26, 2007 and former Mayor Willie Brown admitted to the San Francisco Chronicle on February 5, 2008 that Obama told him he wanted to avoid Newsom for that reason.)"
