I recently wrote an article for the UVU Review paper a few weeks ago on the gay reaction to Prop 8 passing. I live in the most conservative part of the most conservative state in this country (utah valley, Utah), and I was hoping to break through with some common sense. Whoa… I’ve been a fan for a long time, I have to say, but… Is that play-acting at sexual assault? ‘Cause that *really* isn’t funny. And sexual assault isn’t a joke, and isn’t something to be trivialized–no matter how inane one finds the music of the latest pop superstar (And, honestly, yeah, I can’t stand that song. MadTV had some funny sketches about it that didn’t involve pay-acting at rape. That wasn’t necessary or amusing.).
